Stand with Israel
A promise to Abraham
Genesis 12:2-3
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
The blessing
For who does this refer?
The final sentence in this passage of Scripture declares that all the families of the earth will be blessed through Abraham. All of the families of the earth refers to all nations, and Abraham refers to Israel, Abraham’s descendants, and in particular one desendant – Jeshua.
A blessing or a Curse
This is a promise Yehoveh made to all nations that those who bless Israel – He would bless. But…those who curse Israel – He would curse. This is a serious matter, as the promise still stands.
Why is Israel Special?
The promise of redemption depends on the existence of Israel. A promised to Abraham that all the nations of the earth will be blessed through him. This blessing is redemption through our Lord Jeshua.
God’s enemy for all of history has been trying to destroy and eliminate Israel – this will not happen!
Our Lord is sovereign and His promises always stand.
What must we do?
Stand with Israel
As believers in Jeshua we have an obligation to stand and support Israel. As throughout history the Jewish people are being persecuted and this will not stop until our Lord’s return.
Please support your Jewish neighbors, reject antisemitism and pray for the persecutors and the persecuted.
