More Than a Book to Read
Most Christians know that Jesus died for their sins. But what happened to the old man? Did we simply begin a process of becoming better people, or did something far more profound take place at the Cross?
The Old Man is a four-part biblical study inviting readers to examine God’s original design for humanity, the consequences of the Fall, what Christ accomplished, and what it means to live as a new creation.
A Four-Part Journey Through Scripture

Why I Wrote The Old Man
Have you ever started something important, only to put it aside and wonder whether you would ever return to it?
That is something I know a little about.
More than twenty-five years ago, I sat at my desk and began putting together the thoughts and Scriptures that would eventually become The Old Man. What I originally intended to be a book became a personal study of a subject that had already taken a central place in my Christian walk.
Then life intervened. Work, family responsibilities, and some difficult personal circumstances pushed the manuscript aside. But the message never really left me.
Early in my Christian life, I began to understand something profound about what Christ accomplished for us at the Cross. That understanding gave me a foundation that has sustained me through many years of spiritual growth, challenges, and occasional setbacks.
Through it all, one truth has remained constant: God is faithful.
Now, more than twenty-five years later, I am delighted to share this study with others. My hope is that it will encourage readers to look more deeply into the Scriptures and discover for themselves what it means that our old man was crucified with Christ.
