Israel

Today there is much controversy surrounding Israel, its leadership and people. You may be surprised to know that this has always been the case. Even as early as the Israelites’ departure from Egypt in the second century BC they were attacked by the Amalekites, a hostile enemy of Israel for centuries following. While living in Egypt they were persecuted and treated as slaves.

No group of people throughout history has been so harshly treated—and survived.

Why?

It is through the nation of Israel that all people would be blessed (Gen 12:2-4). It is Israel who would bring forward the “Son of David” the messiah.

AND, it is God’s enemy who is determined to wipe out that nation so to bring an end to God’s eternal plan.

This page is for the church. It is imperative that God’s people support the Jewish people and stand with them. It is in fact God’s instruction to us (Gen. 12:1-3, Num. 24:9, Ps. 122:6-9, Rom. 11:11-29).

Israel is a nation that will survive—it has to, and is a promise made to them from our Lord. For centuries much of the institutional church has taught that the church has replaced Israel. This is a lie direct from the enemy himself. If you want to study more about this subject more see section below.

It is vitally important for God’s people to support Israel and the Jewish people. Please defend those who are persecuted (and that includes all aspects of antisemitism) and pray for them daily.
